Use Bonuses In Your Affiliate Promotions To Improve Your Conversion Rates

Savvy affiliates understand that they must compete with other affiliates to get the sale. One of the more popular methods used to convert a visitor is to offer a bonus as a reward for using the affiliate's merchant link to make the purchase. But how effective is the method, and how easy is it to put into effect?

Well, it definitely requires some work on your part if you want to include bonuses in your affiliate promotions. But it generally proves effective. The aim, after all, is to stop the prospect in their tracks and cease their ongoing search for more information about the product, or a better bonus offer. If your bonus is sufficiently good, then you will succeed at this.

But there will always be a tradeoff - the better the bonus you offer, the greater the cost to you to produce it in the first place, even if it is just a digital offering. After all, somebody has to do the research to create it (maybe you).

Jeff Czyzewski has tackled the problems faced by affiliates who need to create bonuses for their promotions. His solution is known as ClickBank Bonus Domination. In addition to providing a model for bonus development, his package includes software that can dispense bonuses to customers automatically. It can also be used to automatically add the customer to your auto responder sequence.

Clearly Jeff would not have gone to the trouble of creating a product like this if he did not feel sure that affiliates would find it highly beneficial. In all likelihood, I believe they will. This is based on my own experience with bonuses and affiliate promotions.

In fact, on all of my web sites that focus on the promotion of a single affiliate marketing product, like on my ClickBank Bonus Domination review site, I use bonus offerings to sweeten the deal.

I do this for a very good reason. With affiliate marketing offerings in particular, it is very difficult to get a prospect to purchase through your affiliate link. After all, the person in all probability is an affiliate themselves, and their natural inclination would be to save themselves some money and buy the product through their own affiliate link.

So the use of bonus incentives is a virtually necessity in this case. This is why, when a product launch rolls around and the product targets affiliates, promotions abound with offers of what appear to be massive bonuses. However, it is often the case that these bonuses are hyped more than the actual product that is being promoted, and the worth of the bonus items is usually far less than advertised.

Well, experienced affiliates will see right through this. So if you ARE to offer a bonus as an incentive, you need to make sure that it really is a compelling one.

One method for doing this effectively is to write a special report that supplements the product that you are promoting. For example, if the product is an AdWords course, you might use your own experience as a PPC marketer to create a special report about how to write advertisements which tend to stand out, and therefore have super high conversions.

You might name your report "Ten Effective Ad Strategies To Skyrocket Your Conversion Rate". If you also demonstrate proof that your strategies work, you have just provided the prospect with a compelling reason to buy through your link. Especially if your bonus report is exclusive, and can only be supplied by you.

If you want to learn more about how you can devise your own bonus offerings, visit my own ClickBank Bonus Domination bonus site, where you will be given a chance to find out how I am using this very strategy to promote Jeff Czyzewski's product.

It is also worth bearing in mind that when the bonus technique is applied to the promotion of non affiliate marketing related products, which draw prospects who have no knowledge of affiliate links, the conversion rates can be increased a great deal.
